🎮 How to play

Gather as many Goops as possible and release them into the Heart Crystal to score points and climb the leaderboard 
— or fire them to destroy your enemies and steal their Goops.

  • WASD - Move 
  • Walk over Goops - Collect Goops 
  • Left mouse click - Charge and shoot up to 5 Goops 
  • Shoot/Walk into the Heart Crystal - Release your Goops & Get Points
  • Walk over Healing Crystal - Restore lost HP in exhange of 1 Goop

🕯️Story

Centuries ago, a secret order of mages known as the Goopmancers built the Hollow Mansion around the Heart Crystal, a living relic formed at a place once believed to lie closest to the boundary between the living world and the afterlife.

Seeking to study the fate of the soul after death, they used forbidden magic to pull lost soul-fragments from the void and bind them inside the mansion. There, the fragments condensed into unstable beings of soul-energy called Goops.

Goops are not evil, but broken fragments of lost souls that never completed their journey. After drifting through the void for centuries, being pulled back into the mortal world seemed like a chance to finally be made whole again and set free.

But the Goopmancers soon discovered something terrible: when compressed with magic, Goops could be used as powerful projectiles.

Ambition quickly replaced curiosity.

Some Goopmancers corrupted the ritual trying to pull even more soul-fragments from the void. The experiment failed, and ever since the Hollow Mansion has been flooded with unstable goop-energy threatening to spill into the living world.

Only the Heart Crystal could calm the fragments and restore them. A Goop offered to the Crystal could partly find peace, while leaving behind a trace of resonance bound to the mage who delivered it. The more resonance a mage gained, the stronger their bond to the Crystal became and the more Goops they could command.

But the Crystal would not share its power. It answered most strongly to the mage with the greatest claim.

That truth divided the order of Goopmancers.

The Keepers refused to see Goops as mere fuel, trying to gather as many Goops as possible and bring them safely to the Heart Crystal. They believed that if one mage could gather enough Goops and gain full control of the Heart Crystal, they might finally end the cycle. The Harvesters embraced a darker vision. They cared only for power, using Goops as ammunition to destroy rivals and seize control of the Crystal. To them, whoever claimed the Heart Crystal would wield death-bound magic beyond imagination.

Since then, the Hollow Mansion has become a battlefield. Goops gather at its edges, mages bind them into swarms and every fight becomes a choice: save them or spend them.

Inside the Hollow Mansion, salvation and domination come from the same source.

You can’t save them all.

Cool idea and I really like graphic style, but I feel like it's lacking a bit of dynamics, maybe the characters could move a little faster?

Overall, it’s a game worth developing and adding more variety to the maps! I’d love to play something like this in a full browser version with my friends.
